Committee ReportsOctober 2000Associate
Relations Associate Relations (Bob Davis/Dale Schmitz)The sponsorship drive for 2001 for the Central Ohio Chapter is well under way and will continue through the remainder of this calendar year, according to Robert Davis and Dale Schmitz, committee co-chairs. Davis reports that the drive is proceeding extremely well. "We have already raised about $10,500, just over half of our goal of $20,000," Davis said. Davis also said the committee is looking for new sponsors and would like anyone with a recommendation to contact him at 785-0505 or Schmitz at 487-4303. Program (Stephanie Patton/Brittany Hauptman):Central Ohio IFMA Chapter sponsors will be the headliners Wednesday, October 11, at the Grandview Café, 1455 W. Third Ave., at the annual Sponsor Appreciation Night. IFMA sponsors will be recognized and thanked for helping to ensure the success of the chapter. The event is open to all and RSVPs are not required. Stephanie Patton and Brittany Hauptman, program committee cochairs, maintain this is an event you won't want to miss. They promise a fun-packed evening of food, spirits, and friendship. The program gets underway at 5:30 with drinks and munchies. There will be a brief, but noteworthy program at 6 p.m. when all sponsors will be recognized for all they have done for the chapter. Following the program, there will be a continuation of the 5:30 p.m. opening --more drinks and munchies. For those not familiar with the area, the Grandview Café is at Third and Grandview avenues in Grandview. Parking is available behind the Dairy Mart (Third and Grandview), Panzerra's Pizza where signs denote available spots (Third and Grandview), and behind Spagio, Stauff's, and the Drexel on the west side of Grandview Ave. If you have questions about the event, contact Patton at 232-3020 or spatton@nbbj.com, or Hauptman at 764-4661 or bhauptman@fahi.com. Plans also are underway for the chapter's Annual President's Dinner, which will again be held at The Medallion Club, 5000 Club Drive, Westerville. This year's dinner will be Friday, November 3, with a social hour beginning at 6:30 p.m. Bill Luallen and Brittany Hauptman are putting together the program and have engaged Dave Caperton of Humor Consultants as the main speaker.
