The 2004 Sponsorship Drive has been extended through January, and committee co-chairs urge members to continue seeking sponsors for the chapter. Sponsorship fees are used to help underwrite the numerous programs and events offered free or at minimal charge to members. Currently, there are 35 sponsors, including seven at the Initiator level, 10 at the Facilitator level, nine at Manager level, and nine at Associate level.

The Membership Committee has scheduled four new member breakfasts for 2004. The first will be at 7:30 a.m. January 20 at Panera Bread, 875 Bethel Rd., with the others set for the same time and location on April 20, July 20, and October 20. These gatherings are used to help welcome new members to the chapter, to introduce them to the officers and committee co-chairs, and to get them involved in chapter activities and events. All members are invited to the breakfasts.
Ken Mulligan and Mac Ware, co-chairs
The Education Committee will present a seminar on Building Permits from 7:30 –10 a.m. February 18 at the Fawcett Center on The Ohio State University campus. The seminar will deal with the need for building permits and how they may be obtained. The speaker will be Joe Busch, chief building official with the City of Columbus’ Building Services Division, Department of Development.
The committee has set a goal this year to create a “help desk catalog,” that will enable members to research the strengths of fellow professional members for assistance with problems or projects they may encounter.
Stephanie Segall-Butcher, chair
