The 14th Annual IFMA Golf Outing at Shamrock Golf Course is next month's Chapter event. Mark your calendars for the four-person scramble, buffet dinner, and drawing for prizes. The dinner and drawing will be conducted on the patio at the Shamrock after the last foursome has completed the course. Keep tuned to the Website for additional details about the outing.
Hauptman said the following monthly event will be Chapter Night July 17. Additional details will be posted on the Website as that date approaches. Also, the committee is planning a "brainstorming session" from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. August 1 at NBBJ.
(Co-Chairs, Mark Haberman and Janeen Carson) – The Community Service Committee’s project to assist St. John Community Center with the renovation of a former duplex into a new home for a Youth Program has been completed.
Haberman said, “Members, their companies, and our sponsors have all been extremely generous in this endeavor.” He cited several individuals and companies for their contributions of furniture and/or materials to the remodeling effort. They include:
Ashland Chemical (Angie Castner), Chemical Abstract Service (Janeen Carson and Steve Holcomb), DuPont Flooring (Mark Zimmer), Mannington Commercial (Joyce Cavin), Rite Rug (Chuck Yoho), Singer Wallcovering (Stephanie Segall), Accent Draperies (Brian Whiteside), King Business Interiors (Darla King), Continental Office (Lin Smirniotopoulos), and Commercial Movers (Ken Mulligan).
In addition to the renovation, Haberman reported the Chapter donated $2,500 to the center to assist with the funding of youth programs. He said committee members felt a monetary donation would impact a larger number of children who use the services provided at St. John.
Haberman also announced that the last chance for members to purchase a logo golf shirt would be at the 14th Annual IFMA Golf Outing June 20. Proceeds from the sale of logo items are used to fund Community Service projects.
