Attention:  Members of the Central Ohio IFMA Chapter.

With the price of gasoline hovering around $3, you’re overlooking a great chance to pick up some 33 free gallons.  But, you don’t have to buy gasoline; you may spend one of three $100 cash awards any way you wish.

All you need to do is roll up your sleeves and become one of the three top recruiters for the chapter during the current three-month membership drive that ends June 30. 
J.D. Flaherty, Membership Committee co-chair, reports that while there has been considerable interest expressed in joining IFMA, the door remains wide open for bringing in new faces.  It’s like recruiting for the Buckeyes; it doesn’t count until the name is on the dotted line.

The Membership Committee’s goal is to increase chapter size by at least 12 professional members, four associates, and four students, bringing membership to about 220.

In addition to winning a $100 award, the three top recruiters will be featured on the chapter’s Website with an article and photos.

To be eligible for the prizes, members must accumulate points by recruiting new members—two points for a new professional member, one point for an associate member, and one point for an at-large or base member.  At-large or base members are those who belong to the International but not to the chapter.

“Points will be accumulated through the drive, and applications and fees must be completed on-line, mailed to the International, or delivered to a Central Ohio Chapter board member by June 30.  The three members who accumulate the most points pocket the cash.

“I urge all members to get with it and give this drive an extra-special effort.  You might even consider forming two-member teams to recruit and split the points, and, of course, the prize,” Flaherty said.
