Committee Report
Associate Relations

(Chair, Vickie Simons)
The committee is busy putting together a mailing list for the 2003 sponsorship program.  Chapter members with names of potential sponsors should send the company’s name, address, telephone and/or fax number, e-mail address, contact person, or other pertinent information to Debbie McCreary, chapter administrator, at Debbie@excelinteriors.com by August 15.  Letters will be sent in September that detail the benefits of sponsorship and invite people and companies to participate.  Current sponsors and chapter members are already on the mailing list.

Even though the President’s Dinner is a few months away, the committee is gathering prizes for the annual raffle held to support the chapter’s Adopt-a-Family program.  Mark Haberman reports the committee has already received several great prizes, but is always looking for and willing to accept more.   Chapter members and/or companies interested in donating items for the raffle should contact one of the committee co-chairs as soon as possible.  It is through these efforts that the chapter is able to make the Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations memorable experiences for families that are less fortunate.

Committee Report
World Workplace

(Chair, Stephanie Segall)
At least 20 chapter members will make the trip from Columbus to Toronto Oct 4-8 for World Workplace 2002, according to Stephanie Segall.  She reports that hotel reservations have been made and a few extra room reservations remain for stragglers.  She has scheduled a World Workplace meeting—“our only one”—for 5:30 p.m. September 19 at Gibby’s Restaurant in Dublin.  Segall says this will be the only opportunity for attendees to get their packets and itinerary information.

Segall also announced the winners of five full or partial scholarships to World Workplace.  These assistanceships were determined by the chapter’s executive board and awarded to five members who met established criteria.  The winners are Mark Haberman, Janeen Carson, Fred Timm, Donna Byrom, and Sally Gardner.
