Anne Harrod, Stephanie Segall, Co-chairs
Anne Harrod reports that the committee has doubled its size, adding two new members. They are Tara Gaaskjolen of Belfor USA, and David Richard, president of DAVAL Cleaning. Gaaskjolen is involved with business development, sales, and marketing for the Ohio area, and is featured as this month’s “Meet the Member.” Harrod says the committee will begin contacting potential sponsors for 2005, and expects to develop new ways sponsors can get more exposure at chapter events.
Dave Bongivengo and Steve Niswonger, Co-chairs
Dave Bongivengo reports the Habitat for Humanity project has been postponed until spring. The committee had hoped to have the chapter involved in a fall project, but missed the deadline for participation. Bongivengo also is seeking additional community projects that would provide chapter recognition, and is urging anyone with ideas to contact him or Steve Niswonger. He also reports receiving $585 from the Education/Programs. Social Committee from the raffle at last month’s golf outing. These and other funds will be used to support the chapter’s Adopt-a-Family program.
J.D. Flaherty and Joyce Penrod, Co-chairs
J.D. Flaherty reports that chapter strength now stands at 184 members and 13-non-members. The ratio is 67 percent professional and 33 percent associate—“a good ratio for our area.” In addition to combining the New Member Breakfast with the FM Roundtable from 7:30-10 a.m. July 20 at Panera Bread Co, 3625 Fishinger Blvd., just off I-270 at Hilliard, the committee is looking into the possibility of a “fun event,” in the fall to parallel its successful wine tasting evening.
