Christine Robertson, president, Capital Contract Services, Inc., has joined Steve Niswonger as co-chair of the Community Service Committee. Robertson replaces Dave Bongivengo whose two-year term as co-chair expired. Bongivengo will remain on the committee.
Steve Niswonger reported the committee finished the fiscal year, which ended in June, by donating $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity, $1,125 to St. John Center, and $1,125 to Directions for Youth and Families. The donation to Habitat for Humanity will be used to purchase tools for local projects. St. John is using the money to fund a summer camp in Michigan, and Directions for Youth and Families will use the money to fund after-school programs.
Matt Frost and Stephan Cooke, co-chairs
Stephan Cooke, business development sales executive for T.W. Ruff, has joined the committee as co-chair. He replaces Sandy Stayrook who was elected chapter vice president.
Eileen Smith, chair.
At least 25 members of the chapter will be off to San Diego in October for World Workplace 2006. The conference and expo will be from October 8-10 in that well-appreciated California city. Smith reminded everyone the August 4 deadline for early registration for $695 is rapidly approaching.
