Justin Murphy, Sandy Stayrook, Ken Mulligan, and Donna Byrom, Co-Chairs
In an effort to strengthen both educational and informational programs, the Central Ohio Chapter’s board voted at its September meeting to combine the Program and Education committees into a single entity with three sub-committees—Programs, Education, and Roundtables. Eileen Smith, chapter president, said the merging also was done to increase attendance at chapter events. The combined committees will work closely with Membership to keep members better informed of the many opportunities for chapter participation, Smith said.
Justin Murphy and Sandy Stayrook continue as co-chairs of Programs, Ken Mulligan as co-chair of Education, and Donna Byrom as co-chair of the Roundtables.
Stephanie Segall, Anne Harrod, and Lisa Cini, Co-Chairs
The Associate Relations Committee will have three new co-chairs as it heads into its fall drive for chapter sponsors for 2005. They are Stephanie Segall, regional sales manager of Singer Wallcoverings; Anne Harrod, relocation consultant for Graebel Companies; and Lisa M. Cini, president of Mosaic design studio. Segall, a long-time member of the chapter, also serves as chairperson of World Workplace and has served as secretary. Harrod, a friend and former associate of Dorothy Leachman, has just joined the chapter, and Cini has been a member for about two years.
Dave Bongivengo and Cindy Tate, Co-Chairs
The annual fundraiser that supports the Central Ohio Chapter’s Adopt-A-Family program is underway. David Bongivengo announced that raffle tickets were mailed the week of September 12 to all chapter members and sponsors. “Like in past years,” Bongivengo said, “the raffle will take place at the President’s Dinner November 12.”
In addition to the raffle, the committee will auction off three “fabulous prizes,” this year Bongivengo said. They are:
Raffle tickets sell for $2 each or a book of six for $10, and Bongivengo said, “We encourage all to participate by selling or purchasing at least three books of tickets.”
Gifts the committee has obtained for the raffle and their donors are:
Bongivengo said, “The committee wants you to know that you make a difference, and your generous support of this project is important and very much appreciated.” Funds raised from the raffle—and now auction—are used to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and Christmas gifts for several needy families in Columbus. Anyone needing additional tickets should contact Bongivengo at 885-5981 or Tate at 224-9180.
