The Membership Committee reports four new chapter members. They are: Rebecca
L. Spohn of The Columbus Foundation, Lauren E. Thomas of Thomas and Associates,
David B. Walton of Facilities Resource Group, and Karl M. Nijak of Thomas
W. Ruff, who had been on the waiting list.
The committee also reported a successful new-member breakfast last month
with six new members meeting with a number of board and committee members
at Panera Bread. The next new-member breakfast to help acquaint people with
the membership and activities of the chapter will be from 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday,
April 23 at Panera Bread at Olentangy Plaza.
New chapter sponsor Aetna Building Maintenance's Michael Greenland has become
a member of the committee. Greenland, vice president-marketing for the company,
brought several great ideas to the last committee meeting.
Mike Milenovic of Distribution Fulfillment Services, Inc., has become committee
co-chair replacing Stephanie Patton, who became chapter vice president last
month.
The committee also has scheduled next month's program for 7:30 a.m. at the
St. John Center, 640 S. Ohio Ave., where the chapter has been involved for
several years in assisting families associated with that community facility.
Chapter member Tom Logsdon, director of property services for National Realty
Services, will speak on Facilities Management for the Technology Age. Members
and guests attending also will have an opportunity to tour the center and
the adjacent youth center to see how their and their companies' resources
have been put to use.
Mark Haberman, co-chair of the Community Service Committee, reports the work
needed to make the youth center a "home away from home" is nearing
completion.
