PRESENTERS / TOPICS:

Susan Ashbrook, Environmental Steward City of Columbus

As an environmental attorney and lead "green" advocate for the City of Columbus, Susan will share how the City is implementing Mayor Michael B. Coleman's Get Green Columbus initiative.  She will outline policies and specific programs that can translate to other public or private sector organizations, including green fleet management, recycling by all City departments, an aggressive green building program and much more.  She will also discuss the growth of these initiatives beyond the City of Columbus, throughout central Ohio. 

David Brehm, AIA, LEED AP, Principal Design Group

David will share insights from planning and designing high-performance, sustainable projects for large public and private clients.  He will demonstrate the value proposition of "Going Green", including reduced energy costs, increased property values and enhanced productivity of building occupants.  Case studies of real projects will be shared, including the Franklin County Courthouse.
