For Vicki Simons, the monthly social event for the Central Ohio IFMA Chapter at Gibby’s in the Arena District November 21 was more than an opportunity for fun and frolic.
The event also opened the door for an evening of gourmet dining when Simons’ name was pulled from the “business card bowl” as winner of a $100 gift certificate to a Cameron Mitchell restaurant.
Donna Byrom didn’t do too badly either when her name was drawn for a $25 gift certificate to Starbucks.
And so it went at the event sponsored by Dupler Office under the direction of the chapter’s Programs/Social Committee co-chaired by Stephan Cooke and Matt Frost. In addition to providing an assortment of finger food for the evening, Dupler contributed the two gift certificates.
While most of the evening was spent eating, talking, and enjoying an occasional libation, a few tested their athletic ability by competing in corn toss, the game that is said to be sweeping the central Ohio area.
However, even though some expertise was displayed, no one seemed ready to surrender his/her day job and turn professional.
