Yes, it was cold February 13, Valentine’s Day eve.
Temperatures were heading for the teens; there was still considerable ice and snow along the sides of many highways and streets, and on sidewalks and driveways.
Pretty typical for mid-February.
None of the elements, however, kept a good number of the members of the Central Ohio IFMA Chapter from attending the monthly social at Wendell’s Aumni Grill on W. Lane Ave. near The Ohio State University.
Scant mention was made of the weather as members and guests hobnobbed, sampled an array of fingerfood provided by T. W. Ruff, this month’s event sponsor, did some networking, and dreamt of warmer days ahead when the facility’s patio area might be put to good use.
It was another outstanding, purely social event, and those who have not been in attendance since it was moved to Wendell’s are missing a great evening and opportunity to get to know members of the organization in an informal setting.
While the March social has not been scheduled at this point, you can bet there will be one, again at Wendell’s. So, keep tuned into the Web home page for day and time and then take part—“you’ll be glad you did.”
