Members of the Central Ohio IFMA Chapter said “Thank You!” to the organization’s sponsors and associates September 18 at the Brazenhead, 1027 W. 5th Ave., with plaques and framed and unframed certificates.
Some 45 members, sponsors, and guests commandeered the Irish pub’s lower level for the chapter’s annual Sponsorship/Associate Night event and honoring of the companies and individuals who have provided the chapter with financial and physical support this year as Initiators ($1,000 level), Facilitators ($500 level), Managers ($250) level, and Associates ($100 level).
As this recognition was taking place, Vicki Simons, co-chair of the Associate Relations Committee, announced the chapter’s 2003 Sponsorship drive will begin October 1 and continue through the end of the year.
IFMA members should begin receiving sponsorship information packets by mail in the next few days. However, anyone not receiving a mailing by October 15 should contact chapter administrator Debbie McCreary at (614) 279-0575, or by e-mail at mcc1777@aol.com.
Also, members may use the IFMA Web site—www.ifmacentralohio.org—to obtain information on the sponsorship program and register as a sponsor. After accessing the Web page, click on “Sponsorship Drive,” or on “Become a Sponsor” on the home page menu.
“Early birds, those who sign up by November 22, will be recognized at the President’s Dinner at the Blackwell Hotel at The Ohio State University December 6,” Simons said.
Chapter president Fred Timm presented a plaque to Corporate Interior Concepts as a new Initiator level sponsor. Other Initiator sponsors received 2002 plates for plaques they received previously. They are Chemical Abstracts Service; Construction Systems, Inc.; Continental Office; Dan Binford & Associates; DuPont Flooring Systems; and Thomas W. Ruff and Co.
Facilitator level sponsors received framed certificates. Next month’s program has been scheduled for 7:30 a.m. October 16 at the Fawcett Center at Ohio, and will feature a presentation by Tricia Smith with Secure Check, Inc. She will discuss “Security Information for Your Facility,” the use of background checks for employees and outside consultants.
